Security Floor Treatment Gets OMRI Registered

August 8th, 2017 by Ima Admin

Recently, Security Floor Treatment was registered with Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI), meaning that it may be used in certified organic production.

According to OMRI’s website, “OMRI lists input products such as fertilizers, pest controls, and livestock care products that are compliant with organic standards… OMRI verifies input products intended for use in organic production. By focusing exclusively on inputs, OMRI provides essential expertise to support the organic certification process.”

DeVere Security Floor Treatment meets all OMRI standards under their “sanitizers, disinfectants, and cleaners” category. It may now be used in certified organic production or food processing and handling.

Label revisions: We are constantly working to update and enhance our labels to make them current and useful.

Technical Data Sheets: We now have a technical data sheet for almost all of our products. You will find these sheets on each product page. Example: Powder Descaler product page

Degrease Powder: Place this powder directly on tough greases and oils to start breaking them down (emulsifying them) or dilute with water and use this product as an industrial strength degreaser.

Beverage Pucks: Place this product in a soda fountain tray to start releasing cleaning agents that will keep soda fountain drains clear and clog-free.

Ready-to-Use (RTU) Products: We added a full line of RTU products in late 2016.  Many of our most capable concentrates are now available in RTU form.

Contact us to tell us what you need and we will be happy to work with you to find the best solution.

OSHA GHS – Keeping up with the changes

February 18th, 2015 by Ima Admin

Hazard_symbolsThe U.S. Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) has made the largest change to their Hazardous Communication regulation since its introduction in 1983.

According to OSHA, GHS is an acronym for The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals. The GHS is a system for standardizing and harmonizing the classification and labeling of chemicals. It is a logical and comprehensive approach to:

  • Defining health, physical and environmental hazards of chemicals;
  • Creating classification processes that use available data on chemicals for comparison with the defined hazard criteria; and
  • Communicating hazard information, as well as protective measures, on labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
