The Food and Drug Administration recalled 300,000 cases of cantaloupe grown on the Jensen Farms after connecting it with a listeria outbreak. The US Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division announced on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012 that Eric Jensen was fined $4,250 in civil penalities for failing to provide migrant worker housing that meets the safety and health requirements of the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act.

Note that the fine was only civil penalties for the migrant housing issue. The Listeria issue was much more costly.
